This is a good quality bit, and perhaps a more comfortable bit for the portion that goes in the mouth. The shank is long and will put much more pressure on the horses mouth, which is what most people want. But this causes the horse to respond to pain and discomfort. The idea that your horse will always do what you want them to do because you have scared them into it or caused them pain to get your way is morally and effectively wrong. I am now going bitless and have no need for this bit.
